Illinois Prep Bullseye reports Cats in hunt for Ryan

Illinois Prep Bullseye has reported a rumor that Northwestern could be on the verge of landing Jeff Ryan, a 6-6 guard from Glenbrook South High School in the Chicago suburbs.

Ryan is a strong shooter and would fit well into the Northwestern system. This would be a huge get for the NU program.

The except from the website:

It seems as though Northwestern has adopted a new recruiting strategy this summer--offering plenty of prospects scholarships early.  It is also quite apparent that the strategy is working, as the Wildcats have already mustered two commitments in the 2006 class-- 6'3 Jeremy Nash from Marist High School in Chicago and 6'8 Kevin Koble from Heritage Christian in Scottsdale, AZ.

With that being said, one of the hottest rumors that we heard while in Orlando was that Northwestern could be on the verge of its third commitment, as they are believed to be the leader for 6'6 Jeff Ryan from Glenbrook South High School in Glenview, IL.  Others in the running for Ryan include Stanford and St. Louis.  Ryan is a big guard who is a good spotup shooter and has also shown that he can put the ball on the floor.
