Byrdsong's children receive scholarships

The Chicago Tribune reported that a local Jewish group has awarded scholarships to the children of former Northwestern coach Ricky Byrdsong.

Byrdsong was killed six years ago this weekend by a follower of white supremacist Matthew Hale. The Jewish Federation of Metropolitan Chicago will give $2,000 per year in scholarship money to Byrdsong's children, Sabrina, Kelley and Ricky Jr.
